Q1. What exactly is this product?

A1. This is a custom-size window privacy film with a printed stained-glass effect. It is static-cling, non-adhesive, removable, and reusable. It adds daytime privacy and soft light diffusion while keeping spaces bright. It is a printed effect, not real glass.

Q2. How do I order a custom size?

A2. Choose “Custom” and enter your exact width and height in the personalization/size fields. The price auto-updates based on your entered size.

Q3. How do I measure correctly?

A3. Measure the visible glass area only (frame excluded). Measure width x height to the nearest 1/16” (1–2 mm).

  If you want an easier, bubble-free install, deduct 1–2 mm all around.

  If you prefer edge-to-edge coverage, measure exact glass size; ensure the glass is perfectly square.

Q4. Can you fit doors, sidelights, transoms, shower glass, skylights?

A4. Yes for doors, sidelights, transoms, and most interior windows. For shower glass: the film is water-resistant but should be applied outside splash zones and to smooth, non-textured glass. For skylights, installation is similar; ensure safe access and a dust-free surface.

Q5. What surfaces are compatible?

A5. Works only on smooth, clean glass. Not suitable for textured, frosted-etched, acrylic, plastic, plexiglass, low-energy, or non-glass surfaces.

Q6. What are the privacy and light levels?

A6. The film is translucent and frosted: it blurs shapes and blocks direct views while letting daylight in. Privacy increases when it is brighter outside than inside. At night with strong indoor lighting, silhouettes may be faintly visible; use curtains if full blackout privacy is required.

Q7. Material and finish details?

A7. Premium PVC static-cling film, matte/frosted base with high-resolution print. Thickness designed for easy handling and repeat installs. Non-toxic, no glue, low odor after unpacking.

Q8. Will colors look exactly like my screen?

A8. Colors may vary due to lighting, monitor calibration, and glass tint. Stained-glass designs often show different tones at different times of day. This is normal and part of the effect.

Q9. How do you handle very large windows over 59” wide?

A9. We split into matched panels with a narrow seam. Patterns are aligned across the seam. For repeating designs, we can tile the pattern. You’ll receive a layout in the digital proof.

Q10. Can I send my own artwork?

A10. Yes. Provide a print-ready file:

Q11. Do I get a proof for store designs as well?

A11. For our standard store designs, we do not send digital proofs by default. To ensure faster production and shipping, our design team will adjust the pattern proportionally to your custom size and proceed directly to printing. If you have very specific cropping or layout requirements, please leave a detailed note with your order before checkout.

Q12. How is pricing calculated?

A12. Pricing is area-based. When you enter your size in the Custom option, the price adjusts automatically. Wider, taller, or multi-panel orders cost more due to material and handling.

Q13. What is the maximum roll width and any pattern limits?

A13. Maximum single-panel width is 59”. Many designs can be repeated seamlessly vertically or horizontally; we will advise in your proof if a repeat or mirror is required.

Q14. How do I install the film?

A14. Simple DIY static-cling install:

  Clean glass thoroughly.
  
• 
  Mix water with a small drop of dish soap, spray glass generously.
  
• 
  Peel backing, apply the smooth side to the wet glass.
  
• 
  Slide into position; squeegee out water and bubbles from center to edges.
  
• 
  Trim edges if needed with a sharp blade.
  Allow 24–48 hours to fully dry and clear small water haze.
  

Q15. Can it be removed and reused?

A15. Yes. Gently lift a corner and peel off. Rinse with water, air-dry dust-free, then reapply on another window of a similar size. Keep the backing paper for storage.

Q16. Heat, UV, and energy performance?

A16. The frosted base diffuses light and provides moderate heat and glare reduction. It helps filter UV to reduce fading of interiors. It is not a certified thermal or safety film.

Q17. Indoor or outdoor application?

A17. Indoor side of the glass is recommended for best longevity and protection. Outdoor application is not guaranteed due to weather exposure.

Q18. How do I clean it after installation?

A18. Use a soft cloth with mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasives, or sharp tools.

Q19. What about edges, frames, and silicone?

A19. Film should sit on clean glass only. Avoid overlapping onto silicone, rubber gaskets, or rough frames, which can trap water and reduce adhesion.

Q20. What is the production and delivery time?

A20. Each film is made to order. Typical production is 1–3 business days after proof approval. Shipping times vary by destination and carrier at checkout.

Q21. Do you offer samples?

A21. Yes. Order a sample swatch to see print, texture, and light diffusion in your own space.

Q22. Can I cancel or return a custom order?

A22. Because every piece is custom-cut to your size, cancellations or returns are not accepted after production starts. If there is any issue with quality or size not matching the approved proof, contact us and we will help promptly.

Q23. What if my glass is slightly out of square?

A23. Choose a 1–2 mm margin inside the frame, or request a test fit sample before we print the final piece.

Q24. Will the pattern scale change with size?

A24. By default, we maintain pattern scale and crop to your size. If you prefer the design scaled up or down, tell us in the order notes and we’ll reflect it in the proof.

Q25. Is it safe for rentals?

A25. Yes. The static-cling film leaves no residue and is removable, ideal for apartments and rental homes.

Q26. What comes in the package?

A26. Your custom film, installation instructions, and protective packaging. A simple squeegee may be included or can be added; a credit card wrapped in a soft cloth also works.

Q27. Any tips for best results?

A27. Install in a dust-free room, avoid direct sun during application, spray plenty of slip solution, and take time with squeegeeing. Tiny bubbles or haze usually clear within 24–48 hours.
